I have been thinking about diving some of the local streams, possible mermac, little piney, or any of the other ones around Waynesville. Has anyone dove these? which one would have deep clear water and little current. my friends and i would like to take a canoe/dive trip.. If anyone else would be interested in going the more the merryer..

I have thought about doing this also so you can count me in as interested. Keep me updated on when and where you might be going.

I have done a little river diving/snorkling. Some rivers that come to mind would be the Current, Black, and Big Creek. I've heard that the Meramac river can be clear in the winter time, but mostly it would not be too fun to dive.
We just did a float trip on the Black river by the Highway K camp ground. The water was very clear (about 20'). We were snorkeling, but there were a few holes that you could have some fun with some scuba gear. I'd like to go back and try it.
