The question is: did God create lawyers to be like they are or did they evolve into it?

actually, Lawyers are highly evolved creatures, having started life as dung beetles

only SLIGHTLY less impressive than system admins, who started life as dung beetles with acne

Now that makes sense....because most lawyers today STILL make their living off the "dung" of society..(except you Andy) :D

forgive me, it has been a while since I did the church thing, but as I recall, there is reference to Adam and Eve's children visiting a city. The best explanation to that is, that while Adam and Eve were the first people God created, doesn't mean they were the ONLY people god created.
Thanks for answering me sensibily. I remember asking my padre that one when I was a kid (my mother used to force religon onto us back then) and his answer was a hell of a smack around the ear for being cheeky. Good one Padre. Way to encourage independant thinking and enlightenment...oh wait...they don't want to encourage that at all.

About 15 years or so ago I got out a copy of the Koran from the library (out of curiosity) and the Koran version states that Adam and Eve where not "created" as such by God rather they were chosen as the new beginning...or words to that effect.

However from memory the Holy Bible states (it's been a while since I browsed the Holy Bible) Adam saw the other animals had mates, and he didnt. He asked God to help him out and God took one of his ribs and used that to "create" a mate for Adam... a "woman"? Now why didnt Adam simply wander into one of the cities/towns/settlements and find a mate? I know apparently the Garden of Eden was so beautiful that one wouldn't particularly want to leave but heck my country is so beautiful I don't want to leave either but I do so for short forrays.
Is it all figure of speech? Same as the 6 days and 6 nights it took to create the earth? Then what is written literally and what is not in the Bible?

I heard that god originally want an arm and a leg in exchange for a mate. But Adam was a little put off by that and asked what he could get for a rib.:shakehead

Well, who says that the cities where there before, or during the days of Adam and Eve being in the garden? If God could create everything "as is" then why couldn't he just start a city in mid stride?

How limited do you believe the powers of your god are?
