The understanding of DNA (double helix) and its role in Earth's life forms negated any possibility of there being a God. Gods cease to "exist" when one stops believing in them...

Uncle Pug:
Are you now searching? So soon I've convinced you?

Wonderful.

It is the universal human experience that we should seek after God.

Ask and it will be given to you;
Seek and you will find;
Knock and the door will be opened to you.

Heh....that's a negatory. I was just curious since Hindu beliefs are quite different than is described in Christian theology. Someone has to be right and someone has to be wrong.

Hahahaha...ah...if only life were so simple as that...much more brilliant minds have left the possiblitity wide, wide open. Including those who's life revolves around studying DNA.

H2Andy:
no, i dont' agree.

it takes no faith for me to know that the universe is not 6000 years old. all i have to do is look at the overwhelming proof.

likewise, it takes no faith for me to know that my DNA is 98% similar to a chimp's. that can be proven (and has been proven) beyond a shadow of a doubt.

I think it takes plenty of faith to believe that the universe created itself.
it takes faith for you to believe in God, because you have to belive in the absence of proof. you can't prove God exists. you have no proof of it.

I can't prove God exists. God proves that He exists and He does it when and where He chooses. That fact that I can't prove it to you does not mean that it hasn't been proven to me.
if you did, you'd be a billionaire

How?
What kind of "proof" would you accpept?

Last class of the semester at UBC in Vertebrate Biology...professor walks to the front of the class of well over 300 and says..."well, we've taught you what we know to be the way in which these thing developed...what we can't tell you is exactly how and why this occured..." He smiled and left it at that.

Put me in the BIR camp..."believing it right!"...pronounced "beer!" :D

Just about to jump on a plane...see you all next week!
