Hey all,

Well the ocean looked like glass, but the viz wasn't great at OML today out towards the point.

My first dive with a new strobe and the wrist lanyard was too short to take a shot while still around my wrist. In the process of taking it off to snap a shot and then putting it back on after, it must not have made it back on, and when I reached for it again, it was gone.

It's a red Nikon Coolpix in Fantasea Housing with Inntova strobe at OML. Fell off out toward the point where there currently is an Orange and Blue Bouy floating in the kelp.

Not the most expensive rig, but not free either. I could offer a small reward and some serious gratitude (not to mention a karmic boost) if it's found!

Thanks

T

Sucks to lose a camera....especially with only 2 days to get a new one.....

Against the advice of some, I have mine rather firmly attached to my BCD. My SO would definately not be impressed if I lost ANOTHER one.

Bummer. I plan on diving the Point this Thursday. I'll keep a look out.

Thanks all! I guess a week long trip to Coz is a good enough consolation prize. I picked up a GoPro hero to at least capture a few moments of the magic. Hope it's decent.

For a fixed focus camera its captures are really nice, probably one of the best. But, in order to have a clean in focus image underwater you'll need a flat port added to the housing. These guy's sell a great pre-fab flat port housing: GoPro Hero camera-underwater focus fix
