Cozumel Palace

One of the Cozumel boards is reporting that the Palace is now opened and if you aren't staying there you can't get in armed guards at the entrance. :11:

Well, actually you can't get in because of all of the construction material in front of the entrance!!! No not open yet, but getting close - yesterday a big truck was unloading tons of cases of canned food goods & such so that has to be some of the final stuff you would stock - so HOPFULLY soon!!!!!!

Gave up my res' there a month ago figuring it wouldn't be open in time for arrival on the 15th. It'll be interesting to see if I figured wrong, and even if it does open how smooth it will be running for the first few weeks.

Meanwhile Christi hooked me up with Caribe Blu. Probably better off anyway. Palace resorts is starting to seem like the Evil Empire! But who am I to talk, I'll be at the Moon Palace for a couple of days before Coz

I don't think it is a time share property.

When I drove by the hotel at 1:00 yesterday, the front doors were all closed up with the hurrican doors, so I don't think they really are open. Additionally, every time I've driven by there this past week (numerous times) I haven't seen anyone coming or going. I think they're still a few days away from openeing!

I read on another web site that they were hoping to have some rooms ready to go by MAy 20.
