Cozumel Humane Society

During our last trip to Cozumel, we took part in the Humane Society's Pet Escort thing. I just wanted to say how easy it was.
Teresa, from the HS, picked us up at our hotel and took us to the airport along with the dog we escorted back.
She stayed with us during the check in process to ensure all the paperwork was in order.
The dog was in a small soft carry-on and had been given a mild sedative.
She was a little angel on the plane and during our lay-over.
The adopting couple met us at the airport when we arrived and were very appreciative.
Please consider checking to see if they have a pet heading back to your home airport.

VERY cool program.

The Society was asking for help on thier Facebook page, so I thought I'd pass this along also...

Those of you who are photographers, or just have a camera with you , they could use a couple hours of your time to take photos of the animals up for adoption.

So if you're not in the market for new member of your family yourself, you could volunteer just a little of your vacation time to take some pics of some critters looking for thier new permenant home.

I also escorted a dog back for the Humane Society and agree that it was easy and painless! The adopting family met me at the airport and were so excited meeting their new family member. Monica met me at the airport and made checking in very easy. I would do it again without a second thought. Give the Humane Society a call or email!
