Hi all

We will be on a RCL cruise ship this May and one of the stops is in Cozumel. Can anyone recommend a dive operator that is friendly to cruisers? Some operators are not interested in cruise passengers for some reason. Just looking for a a couple of dives after steppin off the boat.

Any info will be appreciated. Thanks.

Here are some cruise friendly dive op's:

Sometimes Christi at www.bluextseadiving.com can accommodate a cruise divers schedule. I have only gone out with Caribbean Divers and Blue XT Sea, so the other shops are for your information only, not recommendations.

Hi ScubaMeister
My wife and I just returned from RCL Voyager of the Seas Western Caribbean cruise to Ocho Rios, Grand Cayman and Cozumel. The only scuba excursion I booked through RCL was for Jamaica, only because there was not much to choose from. There aren't many Jamaican dive operators to be found on the internet however there is lots of info on dive operators in Crand Cayman and Cozumel.
For Cozumel I did all of my research starting at the 2 websites below:

http://www.cozumelonline.com/diveshops.html
http://www.cozumel-diving.net/

After a week of contacting all the dive operators I finally settled on "Blue Angel" http://www.lorenz.pl/angel/index.html. They have a "Family Snorkel and Dive Combo" which goes out at 10 AM 'Cozumel time' which is 11 AM 'Ship time'. All other dive operators have a starting time which is too early or too late for you. Feel free to e-mail me at uunbuttoned@aol.com for more details on the cruise or the diving . I'd be happy to answer all your questions. We were so pleased that we are planning on going back to Cozumel with the whole family in August and staying for at least a week at the Caribe Blu Hotel which is owned by the same people as the dive shop.

In February my wife and I dove with Snorkel Center and Diving. They were docked at the cruise dock about 50 feet from where we docked. We did two nice drift dives and were back in plenty of time. DM did a nice job and there were only 6 total including my wife and me.

They also had a videographer along shooting footage. A DVD of the dive was available for those interested and she also did a good job. fisheyefilms@mac.com

We were happy with the dives and the boat crew. Also used Subway at Roatan and were pleased there as well. We then ended the trip with Hugh Parkey in Belize. Felt the best dives were at Cozumel and Roatan.

Have a great trip... how can you lose?

Just returned from a cruise and used www.scubawithalison.com in Coz. She was great. The marina is located right near the cruise dock ($6 cab) and she will fit her schedule to yours.

Been back a couple of days from my cruise. We dove with scubawithalison on May 16, and had a great time. I would dive with her again.
She only takes out 6 divers at a time. We had six on the boat and had room to move around.
