Today Port closed and no dive whole day :eyebrow:
Met two divers at lobby who headed to mainland for diving, thought abiout it, but gave up, with all the gear and camera rig, it will be hard to take the farry and travel on mainland, hope port could open tomorrow.....

Hotel Cozumel is fine, room is clean and good equipped, stuff are helpful and friendly, we got room safe key and gear locker key at front desk, we have problem with door-lock and tv, after talk to reception, problem solved very quick, disappointed about the room is the shower is too low, i'm 5"8, it will be very hard for tall people to take showing, or maybe other rooms are different.

We have AI so we only eat in hotel, there are 2 restaurants, but food is the same :( which is ok, no too much choice, and most are the same everyday, I like the Mexico food and dessert. Today, a lot of guests checked in, and there's a big wedding here in hotel, also there's leak on the room of 1 restaurant, there's a long line and almost ran out of table.

Scubamau is a good op, we like the them, did 2 days 4 tanks boat dives, 2 shore night dives, those guys are very friendly and helpful, take car our gear very well. The dives are nice and smooth, both DM and captain are very helpful, Choco-Ha is our boat, didn't get flying fish :( 1st day 4 dives on board, 2nd day 3 divers. Maybe because not too many divers, 1st day DM was busy killing lionfish, 2nd day another DM wasa little too relax, all dives were very good, too sad lionfish is all over the island, I didn't see 1 during my last trip in Apr 2009, now I'm filming adult lionfish, and there are so many of them, i don't think divers still mark them.

We called the shop for shore dive, someone will drive a truck and pick us up at hotel, 1st day when we came out of water, its already almost 7:30pm, shop should close because no night dive, he waited for us and drop us back hotel with his own car. Yesterday we also did shore dive, no truck available when we finished, we were going to walk back to hotel, but Opal paid a taxi to take us back, they are not best equipped shop, but they are really good people.....

Very nice, Thanks....

Ahhhh, thank you so much for the breathing and bubble sounds, the schools of fish, and sights from the reefs! Thanks for taking the time to share! Continued safe bubbles to you!

It was fun diving with you today!! It's so cool to put a face to a name.

No offense meant because we all like different things & foods but I was just at Hotel Cozumel 3 weeks ago (5th stay) & really enjoyed the food. It's much better than before & I never thought it was the same every day (except some of the breakfast food which is normal). My rural (slow) wireless internet makes it too big a job to watch videos so I'll just have to agree with others on that, and YES the lionfish sure are everywhere now. Never saw 1 single one in Feb 09.

Thanks for the videos , its great . The clarity of the image is very good . We've bought our first underwater camera this winter and my wife and i are eager to try it for the first time there in april. Do you use a strobe for your day diving ?
