gdenny:
Rick,

I see you have over 1,300 posts. .
About 6 of them actually contributed something.
gdenny:
May I ask how many times you have been to Cozumel? Do your symptoms seem to get better or worse with each trip?
Haven't been yet, but like serious drinking, others have said the problem only escalates.
gdenny:
We're you talked into trying Cozumel the first time by a friend or significant other? Did you get a "good deal" on your first trip to Coz? What symptoms, if any, were showing prior to your first trip?
Picked Coz by excessive reading of SB posts. Made a list of the world's best dive locations and then compared cost-to-visit and Coz won (actually, Kona - for shore dives - looked good too, but we went there last year).
gdenny:
I ask only because I am starting to show a few signs... and I am concerned. I am a young man, 33. I have the rest of my life ahead of me. Friends are telling me it's not to late to get help. I can still get my deposit back and book a trip to Hawaii. What would you do if you were me? I feel like I'm heading down a slippery slope.
FRIENDS??? Those are NO friends! ;)

Rick Inman:
Haven't been yet
No way bro. I thought I was bad. I had you figured for a jonesing Coz Vet that hadn't had a fix in a while.

My symptoms are mild in comparison to yours. Could be that I can self medicate here with decent Mexican food and good Margaritas. ;)

The only cure I have found for my MCOB regarding diving is to never leave on one trip until I have another one booked for sometime in the future. This helps elminate the symptoms on the upcoming trip because you have the next one to obsess on. Also, helps relieve the dreaded RRW syndrome (Returning to the Real World) as you only have to stay in the real world until you go diving again.

Works for me. Also, I buy new equipment I don't need. Creates MWIMBOW.

My wife is mad but oh well.
