after a ridiculous amount of searching the internet and trying to get all the planets to align i finally have solid plans to get back to mexico this month. it will be well worth the sacrifices i am sure. i will be joining up with some others from my home town.
i am going to be staying at casa del mar. i have never stayed here before so if anyone has any tips or advise about it i am all ears. i opted for the all inclusive option as there isn't much around there and i will not have my own transportation to get around.
i will be diving with del mar aquatics again. used them once before and they were great. they are the preferred dive op of my lds. they have used them for years.
hopefully we will get in some fun dives. looking forward to doin at least a couple of night dives off the pier there. and to digging up some more baby turtles and sending them on their way.

then it is off to playa del carmen for 4 nights. staying at the playa del carmen hotel by H&A. never been there either but the location is perfect for me. it is close to the bus and the ferry. anyone with info on this place or any cheap little rest around there please let me know.
this leg of the trip will have only two purposes.....one is to have as much fun as possible.......and two is to spend some time in the cenotes attempting to complete the TDI cavern diver course.
all the diving / training i will be doing on the mainland will be with Bluelife. i have used them before and have recommended them here on the boards many times.

hopefully i will return with some fun and interesting stories to share with you guys

Are there any dive operators in Playa Del Carmen that do day-long trips to Cozumel such as Palancar Reef? If so, how long of a boat ride is it to the reef or other popular Cozumel dive sites?

when i was last there "tank ha" was the only op that had a boat going direct to coz. with everyone else you had to take the ferry over and hook up on coz. things may have changed now
