It is the only cenote on land in Cozumel that doesn't require a permit. It is off the road to the old marina south of town. If you don't know where the main line is it could take a whole dive to find it. Also watch out where you enter as there usually is a crocodile hanging around and entering at the wrong spot could be bad. I recommend a guide for at least the first dive. The other issue on Cozumel is getting tanks and weights for a dive like that. Things are geared to boat / onsite diving and unless you have a connection it can be tough to get tanks and weights
 
Oh I would NEVER do a dive like that lol. WAAAAAY too scarry/creepy! Way cool though, thanks a ton for sharing! Would love to see more vids like that!

That's common as today's diveable underwater caves were well above sea level during the last ice age.
 
The most decorated section of Aerolito is Wonderland. Here is a video of that section.
