hmmm.... lets see, started with Pros, got the Extra Force TanDelta only days later. then I started collecting, getting the SD-1 Military, Excellerator TanDelta (my personal favorite), Foils, and the newest addition to the stable... the Flying Force TanDelta in a deep amethyst, they are almost too beautiful to dive with. just almost.

I have a pair of the Cousteau Blades in the house right now, but I promised Bob I will return them to him when I get done playing with them, it just seems like these hurricanes keep messing with my diving plans.

I'm torn between trying the Military SD-1s, the Excellerating and the Extra Force.

What differences would I expect to see between these?

Giffman,

I would be interested in hearing answers to that question as i am already thinking about what my next fins will be never mind that I am trying to find out if I can get FF for my kids.

For me I started out with my adjustable force fins which I used exclusively for the past seven years for both wet and dry. I have now been able to purchase a set of yellow pros XXL for wet and a set of black XXXL pros for my dry suit. I was also able to score a pair of the Fab Force FT1 fins from a guy in Monte Carlo France this summer.

I can't figure out what I want next. I really want a pair for SD1 military but uncleavi says he tried a pair made from Tan Delta vs. the polyureathane which I have not seen offered on the website. I was thinking about a regular pair of Pro Tan Deltas or Extra Force Tan Delta. The problem is Bob keeps making so many different fin types that are not even listed on the website. There is a picture of Netdoc wearing what appears to be a slightly modified Fab force/launch pad?? with original force fin and bat wings. Then uncleavi has a picutre of a Fab Force/launch pad?? foot with OPS fins!!! Then Bob recently told a Tom Winters he was going to make UDT duck feel out of Tan Delta material and who know what type of foot pocket he will put on these things!! Luckily for me the flying force fins only come in XL otherwise they would be on my short list.

It is just amazing how many differnt versions I just can keep up and it makes if very hard to nail down which fin to go with next.

Keep us posted,

Mark D.

I am going to Force Fin HQ in a couple of weeks to see what's cooking before I head off to Tahiti and will keep you guys posted on new stuff[what Bob allows] and take lots of pics.
PM me if you want to know what I would get and why

I did some reviews of them a while ago that may help you. Personnally, I do not recommend the Extra ForceTanDelta to anyone that I have not seen diving, they are like trying to pull a 50' boat with a Corrolla for most people, sure it might work, but its a lot easier with a V8 under the hood. The critical aspect that makes ForceFins work is "activating" the snap of the blade, and the Extra TanDelta is just so powerful most people can't kick them hard enough to do it, and when you do they go really fast, so there really isn't a low gear in them.

I recommend 1) TanDelta (basic model), or 2) Excellerator TanDelta (with BATWINGS)

Bob and Blair- I hope you guys are taking Avi diving off Catalina and go play in the Kelp, I keep looking at my calendar... and my walet, trying to figure out when I can make it out there.
