Like many members here at SB ...I grew up watching the Cousteau specials on TV. I used to dream about diving with the Cousteau team when I grew up and learned how to dive. Well, I got my chance - sort of. In the late 80's I particpated in 2 of the "Project Ocean Search" expeditions organized by the Cousteau Society. Those 2 expeditions that I went on were in the BVI and Jean Michel Cousteau and several members of the Cousteau dive team were on hand. In both cases they showed footage from the various projects they had underway at the time.

After having that opportunity I really wanted to have Cousteau films in my personal library. Don't know where she found them but my wife (thank goodness) located the "Collectors Edition" of Cousteau films produced by the Turner Home Entertainment company (Circa 1990). The set consists of 6 VHS cassettes entitled: "Amazon", "Papua New Guinea", "Tahiti", "Pioneer of the Sea", "Lilliput in Antrarctica" and "Alaska - Outrage at Valdez".

Haven't watched them for quite a while but sure am glad I was fortunate enough to get them when I did.
