:scubadive 313 days, so far away but yet so near. LOL I just purchased Kenny Chesney's new CD called "Be As You Are" just to hear that Caribbean sound. Apparently just like me, its his favorite place to be. :rock_band :biggrinba He is Country Music's Jimmy Buffett.

We have 5 days to go before we arrive in Bonaire... most of our friends think we are completely crazy since it will take us four flight connections to get there (Vancouver to Seattle, Seattle to Miami, Miami to Aruba, Aruba to Bonaire).

I just want to get on the plane before we go bankrupt... in the last two weeks, we have purchased a Suunto Vyper, reef boots, Atomic split fins, and two Dive Alerts at our LDS. We also ordered online an Olympus PT015 housing and INON D2000 strobe (still waiting for the strobe... arrgh!)

Hmmm... I probably wouldn't have spent all that money if I hadn't invested all this time researching this board. :11:

Don't worry it will all be worth it. :)

PS How much was your flight?

Your going to have a great trip making the expense all worth it. I sure hope your new camera & housing arrive in time for your trip. I want to see photos, photos and more photos of your diving.LOL

Yesterday I checked Yahoo travel and found a roundtrip airfare from LAX to Bonaire for $647 for the dates 9/23 to 10/1. This is the cheapest I have seen for this route in the past couple of years.

Normally the cost has been around $818.

I am so jealous... I wanna go! I wANNNA GO!
(maybe next year....need to get the roof fixed this year.....) Have fun ya'll...and if anybody wants to "sponsor" a buddy...please think of me :)

Hi Natasha,

I had to check our tickets... we paid $1200 CDN taxes in.
Let us know if you have any better suggestions for next time! :crafty:

That really doesn't sound that bad from Vancouver.
Have a great time! You're going to love it.
