I am going to Costa Rica in late July. Any suggestions on dive sites to visit while I am there? Also, what sort of equipment should I plan on bringing i.e.: wetsuit thickness etc...)

I just got back from Costa Rica. The water temp is about 80 degrees. It's like bath water to me!!! I used a 3 mm suit and could have used something even less than that. As far as where to dive, I was on the Okeanos agressor to Coco's Island and it's a 10 day trip. I didn't dive actually in Costa. It was an island 400 miles off the coast and the water was so beautiful. The worst vis I saw was 100 feet plus. If you have enough time and money to go to Coco's I highly recommend it. June, July, and August is the best time to dive Coco's because of the schooling Hammerheads in the hundreds. If you have any questions about my trip please IM me and I will tell you more.

Hope this helps

Hey Wreck Ranger!!!!! I've been eyeing Cocos Island for some time now. I ran a thread over in General Travel about one's favorite dive. Would love to hear about yours. This trip?
