Just wanted to say you made a good choice to dive with Rich Coast. I dove with them a couple of times last year (even though I was on a surf trip) and had a blast. Everything was professionally run while maintaining a fun laid back atmosphere. Wish I was going with you! Say hi to the gang for me.

WINTER??? N of the Equator in August doesn't really equate to winter. In fact, I doubt they would really consider any time of year to be winter ;) Anyway, we have no idea where we are staying yet, we just bought the plane tickets so that we make sure that we get out of here. We are diving with Rich Coast Diving though. That much we do have planned.

Wow, that is weird...winter in August N of Equator...Anyway, how long were you there that you only did 6 dives? I am just wondering, b/c we will be there a week, and need to know if it is worth diving for 5 days, or if it would be better to do something else and see more of the countryside.

I was there for a week with my wife's family - all of whom are non-divers. We also did some land-based activities - white water rafting, canopy tour, hiking and obviously beach bumming. THere is so much to do there that one week, I found, is not enough. SO my wife and I will be going back for a more active vacation - without the family. But the diving is pretty good and there are enough sites to keep you busy for a week.

Kent 1848,

I will also be diving with Rich the first week of August (I hope). Maybe I will see you there!!

Well, that would be fun. There are 6 of us going from the Kansas City area. Any idea where you are staying yet? We still haven't decided, but maybe we can put you with our group and get a better rate???? If you are interested PM me. I have to warn you though, we like to have a lot of fun, sample all the local beers, and usually don't make any plans! It is vacation after all!
