It's also possible your computer uses an obscure sized, more expensive to obtain battery. It's also possible they took time to pressure pot test it. (I don't know how wide spread pressure pot testing is, I've only encountered one LDS that actually used one on my computers years ago, which I appreciated.) The computers I use now are all easily user replaceable with commonly available batteries at minor expense. I still have in my spares inventory maybe 3 or 4 older Oceanic Pro Plus units that were sometimes annoying to replace batteries due to the battery chamber screws being very tiny and composed of soft brass, all to easy to strip the phillips head style screw tips, making it impossible to get the battery cover open, but I don't really use them anymore anyway.
