I did purchase from an authorized aqualung retailer...I have completed and sent in the paperwork to support. Evidently previous LDS gave me the benefit of the program. I should have pushed the issue with the new LDS to make sure I was able to take advantage of the program. I'm disappointed the shop didn't help to educate me on how to take advantage of the free parts for life.

I'll dig up my paperwork and follow-up.

I appreciate the responses to this thread

Your new shop, if not an AL dealer will most likely be able to do nothing about it. Hopefully they sent it to an authorized place for service. If you have paperwork saying they did then you need to find a new shop that carries and services Al and take the proof to them. Then they should be able to continue the parts for life program. If they did not then your warranty may be voided and your SOL. Al's policies for dealers are very restrictive so good luck.

One more thing.... the "FREE PARTS FOR LIFE" program from Aqualung does not require their dealers to participate in the program. Some dealers opt out.

There is some cost to the dealers (I'm not sure what...) so all don't participate.

It might save them a few bucks on a rebuild, but it doesn't always win the customer in the long run if they don't participate.
