It's September. The prime coral spawning dates are from the 4th to the 10th. If you are headed to the island and staying at the Western end of the island please join us on Thursday the 10th. Bryan at Ocean Encounters West has arranged for a guided evening dive. Rumors are that he is piping in some Barry White to put the coral heads in the mood. The cost is $75 and includes a pizza dinner, presentation by Dr. Mark Vermeij of Carmabi, air and the company of the OEW dive masters. Everyone is meeting here, at Sol Food in Westpunt at 6PM. If you have a spouse or partner who would prefer to stay dry, they can relax here or at the Lodge Kura Hulanda during the dive. It's a 40 minute drive from the Marriott/Hilton area. Please feel free to email me for directions.
I don't know much about the habits of Manta Rays but... 2 have been playing in the bay this afternoon. How cool would it be to see one coming toward you in the light of a full moon? Awesome!

Thanks to everyone for an awesome evening on the 10th!!

The Corals did not feel too much like spawning that night... but the following night according to a team of Biologist's from Carmabi... the spawning was amazing!! Mother nature... mysterious and amazing!!

Special thanks to Sunshine for putting on a great meal... nothing like her Pizza and brownies!!

Also a special thanks goes out to Dr. Mark Vermeij from Carmabi for the presentation!

All in all... we had 41 guests for dinner and 24 divers!!

Thanks again guys!!

All the best and safe diving,
Bryan
