I'm considering a trip to Belize this Spring and I was wondering if coral bleaching has significantly degraded the underwater environment of Belize.

I just got back from Turneffe Atoll and the bleaching was really really bad. That was my first trip to Belize so I have nothing to compare it do but my dive guide said it's the worst he has seen in years. The super warm water temps over the summer really impacted the reefs. I personally won't be going back it was so bad but others may feel differently.

marine life was low during my last visit in 2010 i could imagine now.
