I just recieved this, looked at the picture, then looked a little closer. It looks like they are not much more that 20' from that steamer!

It looks as though the bicyclists are riding on ice.
 
Yep, they're riding bicycles on the ice alongside the first steamer to arrive in the spring! Click on the picture to get the large version. Life was cheap I guess.
 
& then there is today's big story of the 135 ice fishermen rescued (& 1 dead) off the ice on Lake Erie today.
 
As I said "natural selection at work."

It's amazing that most of these ice fishermen/women probabaly think scuba diving is an extreme sport. We both put ourselves in an enviroment that could prove fatal, it's just that scuba divers anticipate and prepare for that enviroment.
