Hi all,
I recently moved to backplate BCD (Apeks WTX) and chose steel plate instead of Alu. I also bought the Surelock weight pockets, but it turns out that the stainless steel backplate is more than enough on a 5mm suit that I do not need any extra weights.
Does anyone have any ideas how to potentially use the surelock weight pocket as a cargo pouch? It is wasting space on my harness currently...

Many on here could share their knowledge and experience if you provide a few photographs
Weight pocket is exactly as the one that the google search gives ;)
My question was if anyone came up with some good DIY ideas of converting this into a regular cargo pocket. Alternatively I am likely just going to drop the weight pocket alltogether and replace with some purpose made cargo pockets that have larger volume.

This is by far the better route to take.

Just my opinion...don't modify your weight pockets in case you need them for cold water/drysuit diving, or to sell them should you decide you won't ever use them.
