Convert to DIN or buy new?

I've got an Atomic Z2 1st (yoke) and 2nd stage and I just got in a Deep6 as an alternate (it may become primary, we'll see how I like it in the water).
I just got a couple HP120s for a great deal with fresh hydros and everything. I knew they were DIN, but I figured I'd drop in an insert and be good to go.

I was wrong. I can't put my first stage on these valves.

Should I convert my Z2 to DIN?

din conversion kits are frequently not interchangeable between brands and you will likely need the atomic branded kit to fit correctly.

I would just buy a deep 6 din first stage

That's probably what I'm going to have to do. Looks like I'll be buying the DGX version, though. No DINs on Deep6 right now.

Converting to DIN is going to cost less and makes more sense than buying another first stage. When you purchase the conversion kit get a DIN to yoke adapter so that way you can use either valve.

Oceanic, XS Scuba, Apeks, Aqualung, and others make a DIN to yoke adapter. The only one I like is the older Aqualung / U.S. Divers (no longer made) and Scubapro's because they can rotate rather than the whole thing being one piece. Atomic's may rotate, but I'm not sure.

Someone may have just learned what PST tanks are... I did the same thing a few years back... Hope inserts fix the 'issue'...

Someone may have just learned what PST tanks are... I did the same thing a few years back... Hope inserts fix the 'issue'...

i haven't seen any 300 bar din donuts available and the 300 bar din valves almost never have a yoke dimple either
