Continental has been routing flights to Key West through Ft. Myers lately on a Cessna 402 (via Continental Express). Can that be right? If that's the plane I think it is (twin prop, eight seats) then I'm guessing there must be some serious luggage restrictions?
And I thought the Beechcraft 1900s were small!

Looking at the Continental website they are showing only four seats available to reserve but that could always be wrong. Another option would be to take the ferry from FMB to KW.

Cape Air operates the Cessna 402 under Continental Connection. They are the twin reciprocating engined 8 seat aircraft and baggage is very limited if the plane is full. We used to have several Cape Air flights a day from Tampa to Sarasota, Ft. Myers and Key West but lately I haven't seen any. Now they just do the Ft.Myers/Key west turn.

Gulfstream International (Continental Connection) uses the Beechcraft 1900 and has several flights a day from Tampa to Key West but they don't service Ft.Myers.
