Hy there:

My Girlfriend, who is a incredibly good instructor :-D , uses contact lenses. The reasons she gave me are:

-When she finish the dive, if she would be using a prescription mask she should keep it on because otherwise she would see nothing

-Contact lenses avoids many problems on most of the boats or DC where you can easily loose your glases.

So far i know for her is not a problem at all to teach with contact lenses. Thanks God my view is perfect so i can not give you my personal opinion but I hope this can be useful for you.
