I just picked up two Conshelf regs off Ebay and they will arrive sometime next wek. One is a Conshelf SE and the other is a Conshelf 22. How are these regulators different from each other and earlier Conshelfs like the XII and XIV?

What are the port sizes of these regs and what kind, if any, adapters do I need to buy to use 3/8" hoses?

Thanks for any help you guys can give.

See my thread on port adapters: http:// http://www.divegearexpress....regulators/354998-regulator-port-adapter.html

I have 3 Conshelf regs now. One is in the garage on a spare tank being used as an air source. The SEA with the 1/2" port is my main regulator. And I have an new old stock Conshelf with chrome 2nd stage and 3 LP ports on the first stage, but not sure which model it is. My octo is parts interchangeable with the SEA 2nd stage also.

I like the Conshelf, no reason to upgrade so far. Annual servicing runs in the $20 range.

Lots of 1/2" to 3/8" port adapters available. The only difference I see among the adapters is some are lower profile than others, but apparently no functional difference. Note that they do require an o-ring on the reg side (see the other thread). Here's a few http://www.divegearexpress.com/regulators/adapters.shtml#1702

Help this helps.
