I heard that Mares computers are conservative. But...sooo conservative?
I recently bought Mares Nemo Wide as my vision is low and this device has really large numbers. After a dive with a max depth of 20m (not the entire dive at this depth), 40 min, not exceeding deco limits and permitted accend rate, safety stop is done - my computer shows 9 hours of surface interval! Why???

Are you sure that isn't the surface interval to completely reset you to a surface pressure group? Or you're misreading it (90 minutes?)

To test that, I would take a reasonable SI (say 1 hour) and then do a shallow dive to 10m and see what the computer does.

Yes, I am absolutely sure that it tells me hours, not minutes (the reading was 9:20).
I did not have opportunity yet to check its behaviour if I do not follow the recommended SI.
