Hi guys, hope you can help me answer these:

1. I have a D70 Housing and a Substrobe 200 (older orange model) and a Substrobe 100A (really old orange model). I have used both individually with my D70 housing with great success, shooting on manual power for macro. I want to use both strobes at the same time for wide angle. What is the cheapest way to do this? I don't believe either has a slave option.

2. I have a friend that may let me borrow his Inon strobe as a my second strobe for wide angle as a slave. I know I need to buy an Inon ball adapter. To my knowledge, I think the ball adapter is 1". My Ikelite Quick Grip arm setup is 1.25" (I believe). What do I need to make that setup work, short of buying a whole new 1" arm set?

Thanks!

A dual sync cord is the most simple way to shoot with dual Substrobes:

The only option for shooting either strobe as a slave unit is to use the old #4100 slave sensor (orange) which was discontinued back in 2004.

#0466.51 arm adapter is a 5" section with a 1" ball on one end and a 1.25" ball on the other. You will probably need a #9571.2 1" clamp assembly as well. See:

Hi Jean, so just to be sure, I can use this double sync cord (#4103.52) to manually trigger both my 200(non-DS) and 100A for wide angle?

Also, can I use this double sync cord for only 1 strobe? Meaning, can I use it attached to 1 strobe and cap off the other sync end?

Thanks Jean!

The Ikelite TTL housing for the D70 is not compatible with the non-DS strobes. The TTL circuitry will most likely cause autofiring of the non-DS strobes.

We can modify the bulkhead of the housing to bypass the TTL circuitry, but this would prevent future TTL use with a current model strobe.

If you have an original non-TTL D70 housing, the #4103.52 will work to shoot dual strobes.
