Conditions in Welland?

Has anyone been to the scuba park / swing bridge in Welland lately? If so, how is the visibility?

Also, I see that that August 3-6 is the Dragon Boat races, which looks like it will be a big event. Does anyone know if that will affect diving at the scuba park/ swing bridge Aug 2?

Since the thread is here, I'll update the conditions from my recent visit there, the week of Sept 10. Water temps at depth of around 30 feet is around 19C - 21C, vis is great, I would say 3 meters or so.
