Okay, I'm trying to pull myself out of the serious funk I fell into after my Peace trip got canceled. Looking at other alternatives...since it appears that any shore diving along the coast is pretty much out of the question...how are the conditions at the Catalina Dive Park?

Dr. Bill...you mentioned that it's still diveable...true? Any further updates? We're thinking about grabbing the Catalina Express and heading over there tomorrow, if in fact there's a likelihood we might actually be able to get underwater.

Thanks!

LeeAnne... BOTH shops here canceled dives for today. Swells apparently increased a bit overnight and vis dropped to 7-10 ft. Hopefully that will improve over the next two days. Not sure if either shop has any boats going out since a little thing called income (I have any?) taxes will keep me high and dry until Sat.

Okay, well thanks so much for answering my question. Looks like I'm going to be dry for a little while longer. I'll try to stop staring in the knife drawer and find something else to do tomorrow.

My husband already took the day off work...maybe we'll go for a motorcycle ride. A DRY motorcycle ride. Above the water. Damn. (I'm going crazy here, can ya tell?) :silly:

LA, if worst comes to worst, see if you can find a pool and practice buoyancy.

<-- trying to help, without much to offer LOL

Lakes or Quarry's?? Is there anything of that nature worth diving in SoCal?

There are lakes, but they're not worth diving, so so I've been told. Not aware of any diveable quarries anywhere near here, either.

Time to take up surfing I guess... you'll never be disappointed in conditions if you surf and dive. Guess that's why Rick is always in a good mood...:D
