Looking at the forecasts now, it seems that Cozumel and Mexico will be fine. It's possible that Matthew could still do something screwy, but I wouldn't cancel any plans over it.

It does look like the remnant low is going to do nearly a 180 and head NE over Coz back into the Caribbean/Gulf.

Could bring some strong downpours with it.

Agree, not worth thinking about changing any plans.

And coming from Seattle, I like the *warm* Caribbean rainstorms...

Although truck drivers on 307 do some scary stuff driving through standing water...

I assume most everything in Coz is built to sheet the water off and is otherwise flat limestone and not prone to mudslides?

A couple of computer guesses put Matt back onto the Bay, but the others don't support that. Dr.Masters had thot that his remnants and/or the storm wannabe just across Central American on the Pacific side could push back onto water and reorganize, perhaps requiring a vote on whether to call it Matthew or Nicole, but I'm guessing he's just going to break up and rain on parades all over the area.

I just got back from Cancun. The ocean was closed my entire time there b/c of tropical storms. The nice thing about that area though is you can always dive in the cenotes regardless of weather. That's what I ended up doing and it was an AMAZING experience.
