For various reasons, my 2 Vytec computers have not been wet for a year (me neither). I thought about just soaking them in the sink so the o rings don't dry out. Going diving next month. is the a waste of time?

You mean the soaking or the diving? The soaking is a waste of time. About the diving, I guess not. I have a back-up computer I only use on multiple dive days, so mostly on liveaboards. Sometimes it stays dry for more than a year, no problem.

What 'O' rings are you referring to ????.....

Hello Bigd2722,
If your concerned about them leaking, put them in the sink (won't improve the status of the oring). Plan your dive with tables prior to the dive, this way if they do leak, at least you will have a backup plan and not spoil your dive.

Change the batteries, put a little lube on the o-ring, and go dive.
