Compact / foldable oars?

I'm looking for a paddle /oars like those used by kayakers that's foldable or compact under $50, i found this, what do you think of it:

What do you want to use it for? That makes a huge difference in what you will need. Post back your intended use and desirable collapsed dimensions. I might be able to help as I have experience with a few kayaks and oar boats.

As far as a kayak paddle that one looks very basic but OK, but hard to say how sturdy it is from pictures.

i would like to use it for snorkeling to move around faster. i'll have it packed and take it out when i need it
