Thanks for the tip on gottadive.com.

I'm registered for their 6am "Coronado 2Tk" on Saturday 5/22.
I'm considering also signing up for their 8am "Yukon, Ruby E, Kelp 3Tk" on Friday 5/21. But since I'm diving by myself, I dont want to overdo it.

Any tips on cheap equipment rentals in the area? I will need a Wetsuit, Gloves, Hood, Regulator, BCD, Booties, maybe a camera, and a knife?

Thanks again everyone!!

I ended up renting from this place called Get Wet Scuba ... incredible service. There is a girl called Nancy who works there - she's a sweetheart! I did a dive at coronados on saturday, and did a shore dive on Sunday (cant remember the location name), but they were great. Loved my time there!

I am sorry we never got together. I was out in San Deigo too. Hope that next time we can coordinate better.

DandyDon:
If you don't panic, you can break lose of the kelp by just grabbing it with both hands and breaking it, but the danger is there.
One Texan's opinion, anyway. Going back for my third time this month...

Aw, Don, it isn't that bad! You're just annoyed that the biggest, baddest plant in the ocean ain't from Texas! :)
