I've been talked into coming to Monterey from Travis AFB next weekend. I'll be staying at the Naval Billeting. I will arrive Sat and depart on Tues for Thailand. So, that leaves me available to dive Sun and Mon (AM).

Anyone want to blow some bubbles? I'll need to rent size 8 boots, large gloves, hood, and BP/W or BC plus weights and tanks. I'll have my regs, computer, compass and light with me.

Edit: On another note, what's the water temp like? Maybe I'll bring my drysuit, it needs to make it's way to Thailand anyway.

Thx

Chuck Tribolet:
Water temp was 49F on both dives yesterday.

That answers the question about the drysuit and boots. May even have a BP/W to use, that will just leave weights, gloves, and hood.

Oh yeah, someone to dive with would help. LOL

I dove it wet (7-6-5) a year ago but the water temp was 52 then. I hope you find someone to dive with- I didn't know about SB last year and I ended up paying $118 for a dive guide from Monterrey Bay Dive Center and I was none too impressed with the guy (for the money- he was a FINE diver but he kinda left me and the other guy in the dust a few times...). That sucked (as did the $118 for a private tour that should have been a lot less since there were two of us- I got suckered). But the diving was amazing. Dove the breakwater (I think)- the pier there. Not a lot of fish but the kelp is truly amazing and the starfish etc too. Cold... but worth it. If only I had a drysuit...
