Hi all

Most compressors have a small pipe from the crank case to the first stage inlet. This is to allow a small amount of oil mist so it lubricates the compressor top end.Coltri 13/16 dont use this system.
So my questions are
1 Oil & o2 dont mix so is it better to use a coltri than some others for use with a stick ?
2 Has any one converted 13/16 to have breather pipe to first stage.Did compressor rings / valves last longer with a bit of extra lub ?
3 Any info on head temperatures for air at 21% before and after breather mod ?
4 Coltri have changed the vaves in the final stage,They now have a viton O ring on the sealing face.
Has this given any issues with high head temperatures nitrox 40%

The first stage has enough oil vapor and "splash" to fully lubricate the first stage so the breather pipe is not needed. The valves on the first stage are carbon fiber so oil soaking them may cause more problems than it is worth.

As for pumping Nitrox, the official Coltri stand is that you can pump up to 40% of membrane generated Nitrox up to 3600 PSI. There is no endorsement for a stick simply because it is easy to run a slug of pure O2 into the compressor in case of a power interruption.

As for the final outlet valve, the Italians are constantly tweaking and making minor improvements.
