Color coordinated... what a bunch of noobs.

:D

Nothing better coordinated than all black.

Why?
I wonder, if Jet Fins were only available in green, yellow or red, would they still be the fin of choice for so many?

for now, the stuff i've got (mask, fins, boots and snorkel) is all coordinated. my fins and snorkel are blue, my boots are black (that's pretty standard, right?) with a bit of blue on the bottom :dork2:but i honestly didn't know that until i got them home. my original mask was blue with a clear skirt (the choice was blue or yellow).. and since i liked the look of the first mask, the second (a prescription one) i got in blue with a black skirt, despite a large amount of colour choices. why is everything blue? because i like blue and because the girl at the lds was trying to get me to get the yellow stuff (coulda gotten the same fins and snorkel in yellow)...

this all became somewhat comical when i realised during one of my OW pool sessions that my fins were blue, my mask was blue, my snorkel was blue and my bathing suit was blue... then i got out of the pool and grabbed my blue towel, slipped on my blue sandals and put my blue framed glasses back on. would anybody believe me if i told them my favorite colour was green?:D

This thread is hilarious! Scuba must be the only sport where anyone would look down on participants because they match. I'm proud to be a :dork2: diver so I can wear whatever colors I want.

BTW, I'm really glad none of you can see my socks today--my priorities might be questioned. (Hint: not laundry)

It's funny you should say that. I prefer my dive gear to match, when possible, but I don't care if my socks match. I do prefer them clean though (:

I never understood the black thing. I'd rather be decked out like a canary in yellow so they can find my body more easily...

If I wanted to wear black I would have become a ninja.

I like black gear to a point. It certainly has the spec ops look to it but in low vis new england diving I am very glad I choose to get my oceanic vipers in bright yellow. Tanks in yellow too.

If I wanted to wear black I would have become a ninja.

And then the top t-shirt of this page would be appropriate for a Ninja Diver!

(My wife told me I had to buy that t-shirt for her when I went to Comic Con this year...)
