Piranha may be a good viable option. I know they have regular and stiff webbing but i haven't seen any soft.

I have on red one in stock. 2 inch and I would call the stiffness medium, scooter ring and loop are sewn in and it has a black neoprene pad. Came from a HOG red harness kit. I used the main webbing for another project that ended up cutting to pieces in a rescue class.
I'll make you a good deal on it.

It's easy, but you might want a less-stiff-than-your-harness strap. My DIY CS was as stiff as my harness, which is why I eventually just switched to a more supple store-bought one. I have heard of people boiling them to soften them...

So long as you wear it while boiling to should be fine.
