This brings up one of the primary points of diving. Conditions change.

When you, Ocean One went diving in that area, it was probably fairly calm and hospitable. At CCV, they have a sign system that announces the conditions of the Front Yard dive site.


You cant always go by that sign. When I was there, it was displaying green conditions, and they had to send a boat out to pick up one of the guys I was with. By the time we got back, I saw the guy walk up and change the sign. Common sense has to come into play here as well.

I dont know anything about the accident, but it always saddens me to hear about another tragic loss in our diving family.
