Cobra with "Err"

So I dive a Cobra 1. and I Love it. My Buddies Cobra 1 suddenly started displaying Er (Error) and has a recorded Max Depth of 348ft (no way it ever saw that). So he went and picked up either a brand new 1 or a 3 (I forget which), but he gave me his old 1..........if I had to guess, the depth sensor took a crap. But the question is, is it a Door-stop? or is there something that can be done (like sending it into Suunto).......

This is a long shot but some have reported salt affecting the depth sensor, so why not soak it in warm fresh water overnight.

You might also try removing then re-installing the battery. That may clear the "err" condition too. Just be VERY careful to get it reinstalled correctly or it will flood. Been there done that ;(

Thanks Guys!!!.......I'll try the Battery clear first (I'm a tech so the install isn't a worry, thanks though ) )
