Yesterday, the Aquarius Dive Shop sponsored a cleanup dive at Lover's #3. I showed up to photograph the event and help out wherever I could.

I picked out the 36 best photos from the cleanup dive, and uploaded them here. I believe I may now have the only photograph in the world of people in wetsuits standing next to a horse.:D

Some people asked me why I photograph cleanup dives, diving clubs and diving classes. Feel free to read a more detailed project statement on my main webpage. If you have any ideas for this project (remember, I’m planning on ten years to complete it).

That really was an odd moment. He said it isn't illegal, but I have to wonder if you don't have to have a special permit to ride a horse through town nowadays. :)

Great photos Andy!! Even the one after I was clunked in the head!! :D

I'm now kinda wary of picking large object like a large jar. The last time I picked one up, there was a very angry octopus in it, thats where I put it back and left it there at the bottom of Ballbuster. End of story.

Great pics Andy! I might be in the only pic of a scuba diver and horse? Wow, does that make me famous or something? :)

Thanks, Sarah. I'm glad you didn't get seriously hurt after you were assaulted with the regulator. If I hadn't asked you two to pose for the camera, that wouldn't have happened :(

Thanks, Michelle.

If that picture makes it to the cover of American Photographer, I'll make sure they spell your name correctly. ;)

I tried to rip off a lot more shots, but the horse moved as soon as I took the first couple of frames. A scene like that only comes along once in a long while. Maybe we'll invite him back again next year.

Mic - you were famous before being famous was cool! :D

It was destined to happen - I just felt bad about the expletives that came out of my mouth!!! It was great fun being out there, with beautiful water and good vis - a bump on the head was definitely worth it!
