Are there any strobes that are good to 100m ?

The Glo-Toob is. I've had the Glo-Toob FX for many years which has 7 modes, including a strobe, and it's pretty cheap and durable. Just be sure to get the one for SCUBA. Glo-Toob | The High Intensity, Multipurpose, Waterproof Lightsource!

At least some of the Sola lights have an SOS function, but not sure about the depth rating.

I was at the chamber day event at Catalina and the Life Guard giving their presentation specifically mentioned how a strobe light is an essential piece of gear for open water diving.

I like taking my PLB on dives, too. One could take a water resistant cell phone in a camera case.

Are there any strobes that are good to 100m ?

Jotron AQ4-MkII is rated to 500 meters. I've kept on in my dry suit pocket for 30 or so dives (though not past 40m) and seems good.

Interesting. I've never considered putting one on for day diving. I have a mirror, a horn, whistle and smb. Still wanting to get my hands on reasonably priced dyepack for specific locales.

Where are these strobes attached? Why leave it blinking in your pocket?
