I don't really feel the need to type out 'local dive shop' or 'backplate and wing' all the time.

So that's what BP/W means. Cool. I was wondering about that.

If you read the links that I posted in one of the earlier posts, nearly all of the acronyms will be there.

I'm working my way through those links. Thanks!

I mean "BE GENTLE" !!!

" Well, if you want to make it easy on you try to go DIR or 3/4 BTC system but of course ADIC indicates that you must follow a SD or TK rule. In any case did you considered to talk to your DM at your LDS for a MTP or BTD setup? "

Above type of posts could be much better if it was written in Chinese or even in a forgotten Aztec dialect.C'mon... be gentle on us newbies !!! ;)

Bolding and italics mine. Very funny! What a great way to get your point across.

The acronyms weren't the only problem nor are they the biggest problem.

Well, if you want to make it easy (Make what easy?) on you try (Why try? Why not just go DIR?) to go DIR or 3/4 (Why adopt ¾ of a system? If you're going to adopt a system, why not adopt the system?) BTC system (Bogus name, this doesn't exist.) but of course ADIC (Bogus name, this doesn't exist.) indicates that you must follow a SD (There isn't a San Diego rule.) or TK (Bogus name, this doesn't exist.) rule. The biggest problem with this sentence is it comes out of the blue, you are giving no indication as to what circumstances the rule would be implimented or why. In any case did you considered (Considered? Do you mean consider?) to talk (Do you mean talking?) to your DM at your LDS for a MTP or BTD (Bogus names, these don't exist.) setup?

Walter, my dear friend... I got it... But I don't know if I could say the same for you. While laughing and typing I made some grammar errors and you got me good on those. But again as I mentioned earlier English is not my native language. So please don't expect to find perfect grammar in my posts.

I didn't mean I fooled you with my bogus acronyms when I said "see even you got confused". What I meant is that however you could not make sense when you read my two lines filled with meaningless acronyms, WE newbies feel the same way time to time no matter how many real acronyms you use. Those real acronyms used in those postings sometimes sounds like those bogus words I threw within my example to us. Meaningless! Therefore it is very hard to make sense out of a possibly great posting filled with valuable info.

Otherwise my goal wasn't fool you or anyone here by that weird made up meaningless sentence. It was just used as an example to make my point and as I see it was clear to most of the people here.

Again, I repeat... Please read my post with a smile. It is not intended to attack, humiliate or degrade any expert or newbie here.:lotsalove:

Well, let me exaggerate a little first...

Time to time I am reading a post here at " NEW DIVERS & THOSE CONSIDERING DIVING " forum something like:

" Well, if you want to make it easy on you try to go DIR or 3/4 BTC system but of course ADIC indicates that you must follow a SD or TK rule. In any case did you considered to talk to your DM at your LDS for a MTP or BTD setup? "

Above type of posts could be much better if it was written in Chinese or even in a forgotten Aztec dialect.

It may help me to feel "less" stupid since at least I will have an excuse for not to make sense out of it.

For God sake friends, the key word is " NEW " or even greener than new who are just "CONSIDERING" diving. We're not experts or familiar with the diving jargon 100%.

Trying to decipher some of those posts taking hours at a time.

Try to be more descriptive in your postings please.

Because believe it or not, more of us other than the original owners of those questions are reading those great responses of yours as a learning tool.

I was killing myself to figure it out to find the location of that dive shop called LDS which was referred by many here...First I thought it must be a big chain since everyone was referring as " your local LDS". I thought "damn this LDS must be all over the country but why I can't find one in my neighborhood?"

Imagine how dumb I felt after figuring out what the heck that stands for.:rofl3:

C'mon... be gentle on us newbies !!! ;)

Capt. Jim Davis

I totally agree sometimes I feel like i am reading Chinese, although i may say that the more i read the more this new dialect sticks to me.
