Closed Port

I love Cozumel!! But when I read posts that say 'the port is closed' I sure am glad that I chose Playa Del Carmen. I know that property is a little cheaper in Coz but when your dive holiday gets 'blown out' the cenotes look REALLY GOOD... Coba, Tulum, Chichen Itza, Ek Balam, Xcaret, XelHa, 5th Avenue....or even drive down to Chetumal and visit the zoo. There is something to be said for NOT being on an island when the boats are sitting at the docks. 16 days and counting...the snowbank outside my window is only seven feet high today. Lost a foot in the last 12 hours but it still is overcast, dark, dreary and depressing. Can't wait to get the hell out of here.
