Next step in this long journey is to educate myself a bit with this new cert and then move on to instructor...... Who knows maybe after I get my Physicians Assistant license, I will move on to work in diving medicine realm.

A Dive Control Specialist is an assistant instructor and DM with SSI.
We are affiliated with a licensed LDS, lead tours (yes that means those cool trips), work with new divers if they have problems, scuba rangers, snorkeling and, have fun diving!
 
And get used that question about what a DiveCon is. I seem to get asked about that quite a bit myself.
