Are there any clubs in the cleveland, oh area that get together durnig the winter? Looking for groups that get in the pool a little in the winter.

Aaron

LEWD - Lake Erie Wreck Divers
Aquamasters - used to have pool hours at Lakewood YMCA, not sure if they still do.
Aqua Amigos
Scuba Finatics

Buckeye Diving School - has once a month pool sessions in the winter.

Thanks Cleveland diver...Also would be interested if any individuals in area want to go. I know a lot of pools allow divers as long as you have your c card.

I bought a drysuit so I could dive year round. The quarries visibility improves dramatically once the water gets colder and fewer people are diving.

White Star is only open until Dec 31st, but Gilboa is open through the winter.

What pools do you know of locally that will allow you to use scuba gear in them? I could use them for playing around with a couple of warm water gear configurations I have been contemplating.

I am going by a few pools in Louisville, KY and one at Ft Knox. I would do some research to see if that is the case in this area. I have only been here a year and if I had a dry suit I would also dive in the winter.

I actually live in Stow.

I have a YMCA membership and I got a "Go for it" when I asked the aquatics director if I can scuba in the pool during open swim times.

Buckeye Diving is a good shop - fairly close to you - in addition to the pool parties, they'll let you dive in the pools they use for classes (local high schools and Y) if you want to try gear or just get wet.
I'm a drysuit diver (have two) and dive all but the coldest months, but I have used the pool dives for trying out new gear and getting wet in the winter.
I'm in Twinsburg, not too far from you.

I did my basic in the pool at the University of Akron's rec center pools. Actually all of my classes where done there too. I took diving as a class for my gym credit. Got to love school for that or I would of never had time to start diving. :D

Pool diving at Roosevelt High School in Kent 7:30 - 9 pm! I'll go any day this week except Friday if anybody wants to get wet.
