mike is this the area on the back side of the lake over by were the ladder was going into the lake when they were dredging the silo?

hmm would you grab a copy of the map of cssp and put an X were we will be meeting ? because im still confused as i havent been to Cssp in a while (before the plane came in)

Yes he is talking about the SE end. Take the road past the air barn, and where it forsk to go into the trees or go left to drive the dam... thats the area.

Its almost due East of Cisco.

Yall have fun. I'll be with a class the next two weekends.

TwoBit

I'll be out there working a OW and Advance class but might be able to snag an early dive in as the classes usually don't show up til 9-10ish..
what time are you guys planning your first dive??

I've never set up on the East side so it's probably time to check it out. I tend to stay away from the Southern end due to the drop in vis. Every time I've been snagged into visiting Cisco the vis has shared certain characteristics with my vacuum cleaner. Hopefully that's just because it's been later in the day and Cisco is on everybody's OW tour.

I'll be in a silver Malibu with a Texas dive flag sticker on the back window.

White 94 Ford Exploder, SDI and DUI stickers in lower left of back window.

The spot I'm thinking of is within direct line of site of the airplane fuselage. So if you pull along side of that, you'll see my truck (probably back into the parking place). Essentially right at the beginning of the treeline along the shore.

The silo is about 100-150yrds further down.

If you look on the map posted on the CSSP site, it's the upper left corner of the lake, where it says "Stone Entry Ramp". However, the entry is now a set of metal stairs.

I'm going to try to be there by 8:00-ish so I can snag the spot. I'll see if they will let me leave a marked map at the check-in table. And I'll let the check-in folks know that's the "corner du jour" for TSDT.

PS. I'll have my Cayman photos with me if you bring yours.

ok mike i know where that is now. in later april i was there in that location but going more towards the silo a little bit, and were back in the woods a little bit (there was a table and some barrels back there to)

I will be in my camery like i said but this weekend i will be diving a new rig so i will have to work the weighting out on it (probably close to the old but i dont know, i really want to get it set because im really trying to get my trim and balance perfect. We will see have how outof whack it will be

well im going to pack my gear in the car friday night so that i only have to get in the car sat morning.

Good deal.

I did find out that there will be a small class in the same area as us, but I know the instructor and some of the students. And they're cool with us being next door.

The instructor is one of the really good ones (IMO) in our area, so I'll be happy to introduce you.
