So my local diving is done for the year. My 7mm, boots, gloves, and hood got a wash today before storage. What do you do, and is what I did ok?

I took my plastic dry box, filled it half way with water and antibacterial dish detergent (no lemon). I soaked everything and got it nice and sudsy. I then hung the suit on 2 hangers on my dry rack and hosed it down thoroughly. Same for the rest of my gear. It's drying now and smells much better.

How about you?

I dive year round. Some of our best diving is during winter especially between storms.

Sitting on a surface interval on the Jersey Coast in neoprene in January would be quite an interesting experience, I'd think.

LOL....sounds like a good excuse to buy a drysuit :D I absolutely hated diving winter time over here in a wetsuit(SI), now its not so bad.

inside out, wash/soak it in Joy & water in the utility sink, then rinse it off with a garden hose. Most every LDS has a product called "Sink The Stink" if that doesn't sweeten up the aroma. ;)
