Two of us dove Clark Hill E. Dam today after work (6pm). What a beautiful day. 86 degrees and sunny. Water temp was 54. Glad to see the warmer temps. In my 7mm fullsuit with hood and gloves I never got chilled. Vis today was 8-10'. Upon descent down the 15' dropoff we ran into silt (later saw it was from a very large carp). At the three big rocks we found lots of small fish. We continued down to the 80' wall. We covered the entire 80' wall. We dove mostly w/o lights as the sun was at the right angle to light up the wall. More small fish here. Dropping down to the 100' wall, we were surprised that we were still able to see fairly well without lights (like a full moon night). More fish around the stumps at the top of the wall. We were in steel 100s and pushed a bit into deco before our ascent among the stumps at the top of the wall and through the forest. We continued past the angle statue to the 40' ledge. Lots of fish along the entire length of the ledge - nothing big, but lots of small stuff. We completed an extended deco stop on our swim along the bottom of the 15' dropoff. After passing the huge carp again, we continued on to the plane, bouyancy course and ski boat, before our return to shore along the rocks of the dam (lots of small stuff here too). Dive time was 1:08 with max depth of 103'. More diving on the weekend for sure.

Glad to hear things are going good up there. The lake sound like its about right.

Much better than what we have had for months. Still not that 15'+vis, but getting there. The positive tradeoff is lots of fish now (mostly small, but lots).

hello everyone. I am going to be in the area 11-15th May and wanted to know if ne 1 was going to do some diving. Never been in the water there, so let me know thanks.

I may be diving Sunday about 1pm. Where will depend on the weather. If no or minimal rain tonight, we will probably dive the river. If it rains, then it will be a lake dive. I'll post our plan. If you want, PM me a phone number and I can give you further details.
