Trying to change the readouts from Imperial (ft and F) to metric (m and C).
I've downloaded the .pdf Setting Instructions from the Citizen Website....but no indication of how to do this. Can anyone help?
Will a Master reset give me this metric/imperial option after reset complete?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

As far as I know the Metric/Imperial is a model and not a setting on all Aqualand watches. For example, I own a Hyper Aqualand that's a metric model and a Duplex that's Imperial. So the answer is... (sorry, wish it weren't) find someone who has a metric model that wants imperial and trade.

Thanks for the feedback. I bought the watch a couple of years ago on ebay when I lived in SF (from a NYC jeweller that was going out of business). Since returning to SA , no real need for ft and F....but hey what the heck; keeps my conversion skills sharp, right? :-(

I have a Citizen Hyper Aqualand, as Rick says the model drives the Imperial or Metric setting. I have the manual, if you have more specific questions - you can also download it from the Citizen website.

I agree. I've never seen a Citizen that could be switched from imp to met.

I have a metric... and keeping it. Conversion calculations must not be one of my worries under water :D

Sorry for the Bad News!

I use the Aqualand as a back-up to my Suunto Vytec. The Vytec does both metric and Imperial; I set it for metric here in SA. Oh well, conversions aren't that hard, having lived in the USA for 8 years, I got used to doing feet to metres and vice versa. Was always useful in my Scuba Diver courses to "throw out" pop imperial to metric quizzes!!

Yes, well, up to now I used it as a backup to my Vytec as well (I bought a Nemo last month, and I can't wait to use it :D )
Another Citizen I have is imperial. I could get used to it, I guess.

How's diving in SA?? :14:

spreek jy Suid-Afrikaans?

I have the Imperial model....I know from past posts they cannot be changed, I've heard this is a Hardware issue not a software issue.(thats what Citizen says anyway).
Be safe

When I had my Hyperaqualand in for a new crystal after scratching it during a dive, the Citizen repair facility in Riverside (from what i remember), CA, told me that they would have to change the entire movement to convert from metric to imperial. A few years ago it was about $120 I think.
